Re: Preview settings

Apparently some things need clarification here. NC uses a pluggable system-wide technology called QuickLook . This API is very lean and provides no control of its behavior or presentation: https://developer.apple.com/documentation/quartz/qlpreviewview?language=objc View-based(QLPreviewView) and pane...

Build 2789 - optimizations and other improvements

Hi folks, Here's some progress on NC v1.2.5: Re-wrote a layout mechanism of the Brief presentation, which should be now much snappier than it was before. Fixed a resizing issue with a built-in overlapped terminal. Added support for new system colors in Preferences. The File Attributes dialog now can...

Re: macOS (Mac OS X, OS X) compatibility matrix

I'll post know compatibility issues here:
  • Mojave - search in MacAppStore by UTI doesn't work anymore and there is no known workaround.
Thus the "App Store..." menu item was removed from the "Open With" menu when running on this system.

Re: [INFO] Mojave: UF_DATAVAULT / [Q] ACLs [DONE]

Well, to be honest I'm very surprised you're actually using ACLs! Implementing this feature might eat up to a month, there's no such time at disposal. I also don't think it can be added to the File Attributes dialog, since it supports working with multiple entries and merging ACLs would be a nightma...

Re: [INFO] Mojave: UF_DATAVAULT / [Q] ACLs

Ok, I added this flag into the File Attributes dialog (obviously as a read-only field).
Regarding ACL - nobody really uses them on Mac, so I see no reason to spend time on this functionality.

Build 2769 - mostly bugfixes

Hi folks, Managed to spend some time on the project, here's the list of observable changes: Fixed a visual glitch on the header view when running on Mojave. "+" button on the tab bar now reacts on a right click the same as on a long click. New action: "Close Other Tabs" (Alt+Cmd+W). Custom logic for...

Re: [BUG] Eject not working properly with APFS-formatted disk images

Ok, I've implemented the fix, it will be available in next preview. Although sandboxed versions (i.e. from MacAppStore) can't access "diskutil" to get this info, thus there's simply no way to reliably unmount&eject an APFS volume in these versions. Of course, Apple has all the infrastructure to acce...

Re: [BUG] Eject not working properly with APFS-formatted disk images

Nah, nothing guarantees that some volume wasn't mounted when NC was off.

Re: [BUG] Eject not working properly with APFS-formatted disk images

I can't see any official API for getting this info.
Looks like the only way is to silently run diskutil, get its output and then parse it.
Oh well...
