Re: catalina no drag and drop to window from mail

Hi loket,
I tried this today with the last preview of 1.2.6 and Catalina Beta (19A526h) and couldn't reproduce the issue.
Dragging seems to work for me both ways - from NC to Mail and from Mail to NC.

Re: password-protected ssh private key

Oh, absolutely not. Or, at least, let's say, I'd very surprised if it does :)

NC uses Keychain services from macOS to store and retrieve passwords when needed.

Build 3049 - v1.2.6 RC

Hi folks, Here's the release candidate for v1.2.6: https://magnumbytes.com/downloads/previews/nimble-commander-preview-1.2.6(3049).dmg Changes since the last preview build: QuickLook icons are now generated only for files with extensions conforming to a whitelist of UTIs. By default this list includ...

Re: password-protected ssh private key

Thank you for the extensive examples, that was very helpful!

I found and fixed the issue, it was in the 'new' (relatively speaking) key file format.
Now all these kinds of keys do work, with one exception of ED25519.

Re: password-protected ssh private key

Not sure I understand what is going on. There are basically 3 scenarios in NC when connecting to SSH: - login + password; - login + private_key; - login + private_key + private_key_password (uses the same 'Password' field). The exclamation mark should appear only in the 3rd case, when the provided k...

Re: F keys in toolbar

Hi Christian,

Unfortunately, F-driven toolbar buttons significantly contradict Mac's UX paradigms.

The majority of functional hotkeys are shown in the Command menu, but you need to reveal it first.
Or you mean some other menu?

Re: password-protected ssh private key

Hi,

The red exclamation mark signals that NC wasn't able to 'open' the key file with the provided password.
Could you provide more information about this key file?

The system's ssh-agent sounds interesting, I haven't thought about it before.

Re: Pathname completion (e.g., via TAB keypress)

Good idea, I like it.
It's a bit trickier on the UI side, but doable.
Let's keep eye on this in maybe version after v1.2.6.

Re typing enough: current implementation can actually show the entire directory listing even if nothing was typed.

Re: Pathname completion (e.g., via TAB keypress)

Done (perhaps partially) in build #2999.
Still need to decide about other dialogs whether autocompletion makes sense there.
