Re: NC on Mojave & Full Disk Access

That's why, with the speed of change in tech in general, I'm scared when I see things people ask to be added to NC. Complex things that are tricky to implement and event trickier to maintain. The only option to keep up with the changes, being a solo programmer, is to limit the list of features, focu...

Re: Does NC have a future? C++

It pains me to see NC in its "early abandonment" stages as I was (emotionally) involved in this tool for a long time. A few quitu thoughts: This kind of software is definitely niche, but I'd believe it should be able to support a rich lifestyle of a single programmer. There are people who'd pay well...

Re: Simple "undo" function

Undo is like that "classic" theme -- do it now, regret for years later! ;) But seriously, it would be tricky to build and maintain, very difficult to get right (with external tools impossible to achieve 100% undo) and will limit what you can do in the future. This is a feature I definitely wouldn't ...

Re: Version 1.2.1 released

@Bradley :) I've sent one as well, earlier today. And Christian Ghisler already replied, saying that since he doesn't own a Mac, he's simply listing the tool in alphabetical order. I've argued that this sounds fair on the surface, but people (your case included) are still thinking they're in relevan...

Re: Version 1.2.1 released

@bchuter Thanks so much! I'm sure this will help Mike. I just looked up that page and right you are :) Here's the link: https://www.ghisler.com/download.htm One thing -- would you be willing to let Ghisler know that NC deserves to be bumped up? Basically, you could forward him what you wrote above :...

Re: Version 1.2.1 released

@bchuter - Mike is just a damn good programmer. True story. And that's important, since a file manager is a critical tool, with access to everything, and we need have 100% trust it's doing the job correctly. Also, he's coming from a game development background, which makes him appreciate optimizatio...

Re: [Bug] Wrong 'underscore' sorting

I'd also expect underscores to sort on top. This is something I got used to on DOS/Windows and I always thought it's a general convention for sorting files (haven't checked on Linux though). Anyway, here's how it behaves on Windows: Explorer: sorting_explorer.png Total Commander: sorting_tc.png Wind...
