Re: "reveal in nimble commander" only select folders

Hm, yes, currently NC doesn't check if requested item is a directory or not. So you say it should show contents of a directory instead? Yes, I like to use default folder x to open favorite folders (The menu can be showed using a hotkey anywhere), default folder x can only use finder to open directo...

Re: Sorting for search in QuickList modals

In quicklists you can type some characters to filter items, is it the search you talked about?

I use this feature everyday and it is fine for me, the trick is it is better to type the right characters to get less results, most of time I typed 2 or 3 characters to get only one result no need to sort.

Re: TC like Branch View feature

Just files, or dir's too? Maybe two commands for files only, and for files with dir's? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OZzNENOPMvc, this video introduced branch view in TC. When you click "ctrl+b" in select folders, it will show all the files in such folders(include subfolders). This feature is lik...

Re: Blank window context menu

1. I say about managers for Mac. Finder ForkLift Transmit Yummy FTP Pro Path Finder And users who used this popular managers and wants to switch to NC. 2. I say about alternatives, this function is not necessary, simple for implementation, and does not contradict the concepts of NC. 3. I understand...

Re: TC like Branch View feature

It's would be really useful with NC quick filtering. Yes, I think branch view is only a special form of Temporary panels, you can filter files or do file operations, recent beta version improve Temporary panels's power. I hope next version will bring more features about Temporary panels , a short h...

Re: Blank window context menu

Finder has context menu on blank position... It is best way for manipulate with files for beginners. New file, new folder, view mode, sort mode - it is basic operations in all gui managers. First, it is wrong to say all gui managers have this feature, finder and path finder(or other finder like fil...

"reveal in nimble commander" only select folders

The service "reveal in nimble commander" in my Mac has a strange problem. When I use this feature, NC only select the folder instead of opening the folder. Other file manager like finder open the folders directly. I have reinstalled NC but the problem is not gone. I also changed the setting "default...

Re: Blank window context menu

User defined context menu is not a usual way in Mac. In windows, there are some powerful applications allowed you making a context menu. For example, Total Commander can do it. But MacOS has its own GUI zen, cocoa applications have a much concise UI and much fewer context menu items or toolbar icons...

Re: "Open with" keyboard shortcut doesn't work

Yes I know the tools command and already use it. External tools feature is more better than "open with" I wouldn't say that, it's a different tool for different purposes. "Open with" is a list build dynamically by macOS itself for applications that are known to open the currently selected file (but...
