Re: Thumbnails view mode
Hi dawid and welcome to the forum! Thanks for trying NC. I'm currently working on a new UI model for this app, which will provide a way to add Thumbnails mode. There're will be Brief and List modes at first, and later I'll add Thumbnails (which in turn is a somewhat modification of Brief mode). So y...

Black Friday 40% Off
Hi folks,
Nimble Commander is on sale for 14.99$ until November 27, both MacAppStore and FastSpring prices are reduced.
If you're still using a trial version - this might be a good opportunity to get involved
With regards,
Mike.

Re: Date Added / Date Last Opened
Guys, thanks for opinions.
I've decided to discard "Date Last Opened", and fetch "Date Added" - it turns out to be possible to retrieve it alongside with other attributes via magic getattrlistbulk() syscall, which is really great.
And no Spotlight involved

Re: Date Added / Date Last Opened
The fun fact is that Mac offers a standard Unix (BSD) "creation time" and it's own custom "added time", which are different :? Finder even shows these two as a different columns and different sorting criterias. So, basically, here we have 4 default Unix times - which NC currently supports, and 2 Mac...

Date Added / Date Last Opened
Hi, folks, Few times I was asked to add an option to show "date added" column, and finally spent a several days on these attributes, while working on a flexible list presentation anyway. However, I didn't find any reasonably performant way to gather these attributes, only thru talking to Spotlight s...

Re: Classic Mode
Hi don, Firstly - the integrated shell. Isn't going anywhere, will be just the same. Secondly - the color scheme. Just can not think properly when it is not blue. Surely, full colors customization, and I try to keep current coloring logic intact (built-in components' selection/highlight logic is a b...

Re: MacBooks without functional keys row
Ok, bells and whistles confirmed. That's a disaster - replacing physical Esc with virtual flat button on touch screen. And I think they'll continue to ship external keyboards with functional keys row for iMacs, MacMinis and MacPros (and countless devices that are already on user's hands) - that's wi...

Re: Scrolling wrong way round?
Hi baronmax, and welcome to the forum! Yep, current (v1.1.5) scrolling behavior might seem awkward, since it actually was borrowed from TUI file managers like FAR. The logic is pretty simple - try to scroll content around relative cursor position, and if it's not possible - then change relative curs...
