%r for external tools looks broken when inside empty folder [FIXED]
The source panel path (%r) variable has a bug when I'm in an empty folder (e.g. for opening a terminal or other external app in the current source panel location). E.g. using "Terminal here" it just opens the terminal but does not change to the dir currently open in NC. As soon as I create a test di...

Re: Edit files in archives
I'm not trying to find an excuse here, just explaining why it's not the most wise decision to mix file management duties with a specific task from a separate area. If it's frequently required to change some files inside archives, I'd rather thought about the process itself in the first place - why ...

Restore also selected tab [DONE]
I have a smaller feature request: if one uses the option to "Restore last window state" to continue with NC were you left off, it would be cool if NC would also activate the tab that was active the last time, instead of reverting to the very first tab.

Re: build 1996 - new UI, part V
Hmm, strange problem: on my laptop I could remove the default F1 F2 keyboard actions (to make "Rename in place" with F2). On my stationary mac however, I've defined F2 for "Rename in place" realized that it was already assigned to Right-Panel/Change-Folder, removed the assigned shortcut, but still N...

Re: Edit files in archives
@JayB: Ah, ok, misunderstood you, sorry
If I could vote, I'd vote for having a basic implementation of this feature, it's just sooo handy.

Re: Edit files in archives
I can imagine that this brings tons of edge cases, would be fine for me if it would only work for the straight forward cases :) Still it is (in my opinion) one of the important/useful features of a good filemanager (and in fact is implemented in the more advanced filemanagers like TC or Crax, and lo...

Edit files in archives
Is my impression correct that NC doesn't yet support editing files inside an archive?
(I often tweak some code archives by just editing some smaller config files inside them...)
