Re: Shell script support
Imho the only advantage is that an integration into NC would be faster than external solutions like macOS Services. But it wouldn't add functionality on its own, only through user content.

Shell script support
I've just had a look at fman – https://fman.io … it's a very rudimentary file manager, extremely fast – just check /usr/share/man/man1 –, but it has no connections to basic macOS functionality. (You can't even seem to launch app bundles. [???]) Among the things I like (and prefer) with Nimble Comman...

Re: build 2042 - new UI, part VI
I'm using the new build now (2053)… no issues so far, except for one: there are moments when I can't drop files into a folder, e.g. I select 5 files with CMD-click, then try to move them to a folder—in the current case it's in the same directory—, the folder gets highlighted (in my case with blue li...

Re: build 2042 - new UI, part VI
Crash happened, when I ejected a mounted DMG, while I was copying an .app to /Applications from said DMG. It seems that Nimble Commander doesn't check, if file copying/moving processes are still active, when ejecting a volume. After re-launching, macOS spit out an uncaught exception, but without cra...

Re: drag-drop to firefox
Just tried dragging two shell scripts (.sh) to BBEdit (already open), and only one .sh opened.

Re: Toggle file extension
Maybe it's feasible to add a Finder extended attributes panel, in the same manner that there's a panel for "File Attributes" in "Command". That way Nimble Commander could still disregard these attributes in terms of GUI, but it would still be open for the user to inspect and edit them, if he so choo...

SHIFT-CMD-G: go to directory using $HOME instead of ~
I just tried to use "$HOME" instead of "~" when trying to navigate to a directory, but Nimble Commander doesn't seem to support "$HOME".
Possible to include this as an alternative to the tilde?

Toggle file extension
Could be an additional tool/command, but I don't know in which menu it should go. Toggle file extension: if a file, bundle etc. has a file extension, e.g. "DiskImage.dmg", toggle would hide ".dmg", producing "DiskImage" only. Vice versa, if a file has a hidden extension, e.g. an .app bundle in /Appl...

Re: drag-drop to firefox
I've tested it with Safari, adding binaries to GitHub releases. Sometimes it works with drag-dropping two files at the same time, sometimes it doesn't. Will check again with the next version.

Re: Suddenly NC does not "see" Finder favorites anymore
Wouldn't it be wise to eventually have an individual Favorites list in Nimble Commander?
