"Forward" navigation support for temporary panel [DONE]

Currently, temporary panels only support "Go > Back" navigation. To me, it would be very useful to have a "Go > Forward" option (currently greyed out) to access the temporary panel again without having to create it again by a search for example.

Re: Mount/Unmount

Hi Mike, as for changing the default mount behavior, I understand leaving it like that. It's no big deal to switch focus from Finder back to Files. As for unmounting, I noticed the "Eject Volume" menu item, but it seemed not to work at all. There was just no output at all and the volume remained mou...

Encrypted zip files handling

Hi, in build 1491, the encrypted zip file handling could be improved. Currently, opening an encrypted zip file (created using "zip -e ...") calls the "Password Needed" dialog. Then, entering an incorrect password doesn't throw a warning or error message. Instead, the filenames inside the zip archive...

Re: 'Select with mask...' unexpected behaviour [FIXED]

Mike,

this is fixed for "select with mask". However, after calling "help > search" using CMD+Shift+7 and cancelling with ESC (like in the second video I uploaded), marking mode is still stuck.

Re: Tilde character doesn't work in terminal

The tilde character works very nicely now, thanks. Two quick observations: 1) Now, navigating to beginning and end of the current command line works using fn+left/right arrow. Counter-intuitively, fn+up/down arrow still create a tilde character. They could, like in the OSX built-in terminal, scroll ...

Re: Renaming files while QuickLook is active [FIXED]

Mike,

on build 1491, this doesn't work for me.

-Files or folders can't be renamed using F6 or Shift+F6 when QuickLook is active. The menu items Command > Rename... are still greyed out.

-Quick filename editing is a great idea! Doesn't seem to be included in this build, though.

Re: build 1491 - polishing in progress

Hi Mike, thanks a lot for the update, made it a lot more useful for me! Some thoughts on topics relevant to me: - support for encrypted ZIP archives Generally very useful idea, but implementation can be improved. The error handling when entering a wrong password is not intuitive. Also, a "compress e...

Mount/Unmount [FIXED]

Hi, two ideas about working with disk images. 1) When mounting a disk image, sometimes a Finder window emerges (e.g. for dragging an application into the linked /Applications folder.) In Files, I would prefer the following: after pressing enter on a disk image, don't show the Finder window and inste...
