Running NC in Mac mini late 2012, with macOS Sierra.
Oh, I use exactly the same machine! :)
2012 Mac Minis, especially server models, were absolutely amazing machines.
Too sad they've downgraded it into some kind of Raspberry Pi running macOS.

A second crash, this time when opening an mkv file with SHIFT-RETURN.
This one is very strange, log doesn't make any sense...
It looks like a movie player does something with resolution or does some fiddling with screens, perhaps?

Another crash, this time after searching for a string in $HOME, when selecting "Go To" for one of the results.
Fixed, I suppose it was "View", not "Go To".
There was a quirky case in situation when file couldn't be opened by viewer.

Re: build 1996 - new UI, part V

Here's the updated build: http://magnumbytes.com/downloads/previews/nimble-commander-1.2.0(2006).zip Tested it by selectively deleting individual extended attributes, and both Finder Info and Quarantine are not a problem. (Finder Info was a string of zeros anyway.) The resource fork was the problem ...

Re: Edit files in archives

Is my impression correct that NC doesn't yet support editing files inside an archive? (I often tweak some code archives by just editing some smaller config files inside them...) Edition of existing archives is a very-very complex task, which contains many absolutely unobvious pitfalls and is capabl...

Re: build 1996 - new UI, part V

Another crash, this time when trying to compress a file (shell script text file) without an enclosing folder; the crash happens when I use NC's built-in compress command or the macOS native compress from the contextual menu. I have read-write permissions on the file, so that can't be a problem. Ret...

Re: build 1996 - new UI, part V

Tnx for info, very sorry for this nonstop crash parade. Compatibility issue with El Capitan was the thing I've expected the least. Especially, if it turns out to be a compatibility issue of 10.11 with a tiny C++14 construct  Here's the fixed build: http://magnumbytes.com/downloads/previews/nim...

Re: build 1996 - new UI, part V

Re-uploaded, now it's fine. Have tried some automatization in zipping of these builds, and seems that it didn't play well. Interesting fact - zipping a build with a built-in NC compression and downloading this archive from web is ok, but zipping it with a system-bundled tool (/usr/bin/zip) and downl...
