Changing users in sftp mode [CLOSED]

Post by maximus » Fri Jan 26, 2018 10:59 pm

Hi all,

first of all, thanks for the great work, Mike!

my question: when I connect to a remote server with my credentials, I would like to be able to switch to another user "sudo su newuser". Is this possible or will it be ever possible? (afaik commandline is not yet supported for remote servers)

Edit: this is because some predefined users have particular privileges to access/execute and switching is very common practice.

Hey!
After some brief research, I think this not possible in general.
In your case it's probably better to have multiple SFTP accounts.
