It's quite interesting.
This favourites list is a stub for a case if regular retrieving fails.
Never really expected that code would be executed.
Anything is written in a console meanwhile?

For history. El Capital "lost" my old favorites after upgrade for some reason so I had to re-create them.

Hi achekulaev,

By console I've meant Console.app, which shows system.log.

In the last build I've updated source to use to a newer API to grab those favourites, perhaps it would help.
If not - please take a look at log, there should be some error.

Looks like they are changing the internals and deprecating current APIs at the same time.
Bad, bad idea...

Yeah. Anyways I fixed problem in finder and it fixed problem in Files
