Batch rename - unclear situation

Post by darek » Mon Feb 01, 2016 8:49 pm

Figuring out this image took me a while. I've actually started reporting this as a highlight bug (I thought red ink show names that will be changed ;) ) but only then realized that what I have there is a rename collision and red ink marks them. This is small thing, but could be a good idea to add some extra info that would make this situation 100% clear (error message box, some kind of hinting, anything).

Hi darek!

Well I thought that greyed "Ok" button might signal that something is not right :)
Maybe dialog should change text in that button too, like "Collision" - what do you think?

Mike.

Hehe... yeah, that grey OK gave it out ;) Adding "collision" either close to the red file names or near the OK button would probably help. But it's a small cosmetic issue, very low priority. No need to do anything about this now. I've just reported it since when I started writing I was thinking it's a bug, only to figure it out as I was writing :)
