Files Pro [CLOSED]
Files Pro [CLOSED]
Good day,
After I got my Files Pro upgraded through App Store to 1.1.1 I started to get the following pop up with Files:
---------------------
This is a trial version of Files manager.
After a period of one month you must have
a version from App Store installed on your hard drive or delete Files manager from this computer.
This window appears only in trial version.
---------------------
What can I do to fix this?

Re: Files Pro
Hi don!
That looks like some issue during MAS installation process, does your Files Pro copy works now?
Also, can you please check that it's location is at /Applications (i.e. /Applications/Files Pro.app/)?
Mike.

Re: Files Pro
Files Pro works, no issues. But I am not using it that much. I am with Files mainly (due to the added functionality).
The location is correct too:
What should I do - reinstall?

Re: Files Pro
That is strange even more..
Can you please show output of the following command?

Code: Select all
ls -l /Applications/Files\ Pro.app/Contents/_MASReceipt/receipt
Re: Files Pro
It seems the file is missing:
Code: Select all
[ ~ ] # ls -l /Applications/Files\ Pro.app/Contents/_MASReceipt/receipt
ls: /Applications/Files Pro.app/Contents/_MASReceipt/receipt: No such file or directory
[ ~ ] # ls -al /Applications/Files\ Pro.app/Contents

Re: Files Pro
OK. Problem solved.
The issue was that even though "Files Pro" has been installed physically on the hard drive (and was working correctly!), it was listed as "Not Installed" in the app store. I guess the latest upgrade kind of removed it....
Anyway - I clicked "Install" in the app store and the required license file seems to have been installed anew.
After the install (please check the timestamps):

Re: Files Pro
Well, seems I need to add a receipt checking in AppStore version
Anyway, issue was solved, closing the topic.
