Minor issues in build 1573 [FIXED]

Post by sasha » Mon Apr 18, 2016 9:23 pm

A few minor things in build 1573:

- Show/Hide Toolbar doesn't work properly in full screen mode. Results in glitch.

- Preferences dialog should be closed using Escape, like Find File etc. Currently, Escape produces an error beep.

- When a temporary panel is open (e.g. after search), "Find..." (CMD+F) doesn't work. One has to close the temporary panel first in order to execute "Find..." again. This is different for "Find with Spotlight", that works out of an active temporary panel.

Hi sasha!

Quick notes on issues:
- Fixed, now it works as should.

- Done, Escape now closes the Preferences window.

- This may look strange at first, but consider the following: FindFiles sheet performs the search in some particular (at current panel path) directory and may go recurrently downwards. But what is the current directory for temporary panel? There's no. That's not related with SpotlightSearch since the latter searches globally without any information about current directory path.

That is reasonable and it sure can stay like this. To me, temporary panels are something like an "overlay view" over the "real" panel, which doesn't have a current working directory itself, but the "real" panel of course has one. I would assume, CMD+F on a temporary panel would trigger a search in the cwd of the "real" panel under the temp panel. Again, it's alright as it is now.
