Cut (Cmd+X) or Move file (Cmd+Alt+V)

Post by titovmaxim » Mon May 02, 2016 5:33 pm

One feature is missing for me in Files: possibility to Cut (Cmd+X like in Windows) or at least Move file (like Cmd+Alt+V in Finder). I agree that this feature is not that important in 2 panel manager, but it is still quite useful.

Hi Titovmaxim,

CMD+ALT+V is working in build 1584.

Best,

How is it possible to get this version? I've got 1521 and it says it is the latest one...

It's an unofficial version yet, but available for download in the Previews section of this forum here: http://filesmanager.info/forum/viewforum.php?f=7

Hi titovmaxim and welcome to the forum!

As already was mentioned here - Move File is done and currently can be used in preview build of version 1.1.2.
Speaking about Cut&Paste - I haven't really considered this feature for implementation since I think this metaphor fits pretty bad for file system elements.

Best,
Mike.
