Good day.
Was away on vacation and missed the release of the new and shiny version.
Looks good. A keyboard shortcut to toggle the terminal (and the general settings overhaul) is indeed very welcome.
Would also appreciate a keyboard shortcut to roll up the panels. I.e. what I do with multiple CTRL+ALT+UP - to reduce the size of the panels so they are not visible.
Yet it should preserve the original position somewhere (possibly by not to modifying the persisted setting?) and if pressed when the panels are rolled up - it should restore the panels to the original size.
This way the terminal in the background becomes supplanted by this one.
Hope it makes sense!
Cheers.

It looks pretty like CTRL+ALT+O hotkey, have you tried it?
Mike.
Re: Overlapped terminal : panel toggle
Good day.
Did not work for me, unfortunately.
1. I have adjusted the size of the panels to make the terminal window visible 2. Used CTRL-ALT-O (nothing happened?)
3. Quit filesmanager
4. Restarted and I can see that the panel position has not been preserved: I would like to be able to preserve the adjusted panel position
