Custom command menu [DONE]

Post by don » Sat Jul 18, 2015 11:29 am

As I mentioned a few times, I am switching from Win platform and Far Manager.

And there is another item that I miss from Far Manager - the custom command menu - a pop up tied to a keyboard shortcut where I could hook up my shell commands and/or scripts.

p.s. Files Manager is already the key tool for my daily workflow.

don,
Can you expand, what functionality such menu should provide?
Currently it looks like a list of 3rd party tools from a nearby topic, but to be executed in terminal, right?

When the "~" navigation shortcut to the $HOME has been added it was a blessing in disguise. It made me realise how much I miss a quick way to expand the base functionality with a few script commands. Similar to F2 menu in Far. 50% of those are just "cd somewhere". 25% "cd somwehere; run something". The rest is just references to the shell scripts.

Attaching the screenshot of an edit window for one of the entries.

To call this option I would be using F2 and then D.
