I'm a bit against such regrouping since a lot users prefer mouse access and visual structure is important IMHO.
I understand the point. From my perspective, however, it boils down essentially to the philosophy behind the tool.

I regard dual pane navigators as the console on steroids - designed for superfast keyboard operation, requiring no mouse input at all (Far being the great example, including process list and heaps of plugins).

My workflow used to be to jump between INtelliJ and Far and that's about it. Everything else just slows me down.

If the philosophy behind Files is different - that's fine, but it needs to be thought through in terms how ti is different from all the other dual pane navigators that rely on mouse inputs.

I do not want to preach to the pope here - just my 2 ozzie cents. The tool is again far better than anything I have seen and CMD-F + Ctrl-T would probably work for me.

Oh! I see now. Could we have corresponding access letters underlined in labels?

In theory - yes.
In practice - which letter to underline in Russian string translation for "S"? :)
I haven't seen such hotkeys underlining in Mac UX yet.

There's not so many dialogs like this in Mac software. But yeah good point about underlines. Got it.

Hehe, yeah, I think one should be carefull to not carry too much "windowsness" into OS X ;) This could get some of the more orthodox people nervous. I think sneaking in keyboard shortcuts for fields, hinted by a tooltip, is already cool enough.

Oh. Didn't know there was a tooltip. Was hovering labels waiting for tooltip. Didn't know tooltip is on fields.

I recalled where I got idea about underlines from. PhpStorm find dialog.
It is literally the only dialog in the application that has this feature. But I guess it has it for a reason.

Another minor improvement done in File Find dialog - showing currently viewed directory/file.
