Build 3081 - Catalina remedies

Hi folks, Here are some fixes, mostly around Catalina specifics: NC no longer depends on stat()'s st_dev to deduce a filesystem of a particular file (man 2 stat). This behavior was silently changed in Catalina, causing some confusion in NC's logic (https://twitter.com/mikekazakov/status/121130073371...

Re: NC copies and deletes folders instead of moving

Hi Valentin, MacOS Catalina changed the file system behavior in an intricate way and that broke some software. https://twitter.com/mikekazakov/status/1211300733716508672?s=21 I’m working on a fix, it should be ready soon. Basically, previously NC did 2 syscalls per file move, now it’s forced to do 3...

Re: Bookmarks and afp connection

Hi neznyloket,

1 - could you elaborate: what are the "server related bookmarks"?
2 - hm, it does. Which version of NC are you using - from MAS or from the website? The MAS version doesn't support it due to the sandboxing limitations of macOS.

Re: iCloud Drive browse

Such hack would be incredibly brittle and could break after any minor macOS update.
So, sorry, but no.

OTOH it might be possible to construct something with an external tool and a hotkey to execute it.

Re: Terminal doesn't auto-cd when using zsh

Cannot reproduce the issue.
I've checked it on macOS 10.15.1 + NC 1.2.6 and it does synchronize a zsh shell with a NC's file panel.

Re: iCloud Drive browse

Hi,

AFAIK Apple doesn't provide any official API for the iCloud Drive storage.
This means that a decent abiding app can access it only via e.g. system-defined Open/Save dialogs.

Not sure what could be done here, apart from writing a petition which Apple will ignore.

Mike.
