Re: Build 2671 - v1.2.4 RC

One more extra advanced feature suggestion: When I open a folder from external applications, can nimble commander open a new tab instead of reuse the first tab. Reusing tab is a normal behavior, other file managers is the same. But open a external folder tab will make tabs more clear. The tab title...

Double click on the path bar to open history menu

NC has many keyboard command, adding some useful mouse shortcut will make NC simpler to do some jobs. For example, the most frequent hotkey I used is "CMD+2", this will call a history item menu. I hope I can use this feature with mouse too. Many dual panel file managers (xxx commander) use path tool...

Re: Build 2671 - v1.2.4 RC

Yes, currently nc only selects the folders if I changed default file viewer setting. I hope nc can open folders directly. It will help many third party applications to replace "show in finder" with nc completely, alfred, launchbar and default folder x can use this feature to display their folders i...

Re: Build 2671 - v1.2.4 RC

[/quote] Oh, I thought you were referring a service-level interface. So you mean the interface of basically "opening" of filesystem items? Re: Build 2671 - v1.2.4 RC

Thank you for adding open folder service feature. Can you add "public.folder" handler too? I use this command to replace finder but still not work: defaults write com.apple.LaunchServices/com.apple.launchservices.secure LSHandlers -array-add '{LSHandlerContentType="public.folder";LSHandlerRoleAll="i...

Re: Show Hidden Files

Other file managers use this name too, it is a common function name, NC followed the naming rules.

Re: Non-modal search window

TC 8.5 has this feature actually, you can open search windows in its own thread that will not block the main UI thread. The hotkey is "shift+alt+F7".

This feature can combine with search path and everything(windows spotlight like search), it can make the file manager as a powerful search machine.

Non-modal search window

Search in nc is very nice, it shows a dialog window, but this windows is modal, a standalone or non-modal window will be much better to use. This is a long time topic in tc forum, https://www.ghisler.ch/board/viewtopic.php?t=7956, 90% users like non-modal search window. TC has a plugin system so the...

Re: "reveal in nimble commander" only select folders

https://binarynights.com/forklift/manual#fileviewer, I followed the steps and changed "forklift" to nc, I still can't open folders. The second command didn't work. defaults write com.apple.LaunchServices/com.apple.launchservices.secure LSHandlers -array-add '{LSHandlerContentType="public.folder";LSH...

Re: "reveal in nimble commander" only select folders

You are right, "reveal in the file manager" just select folders. I used a wrong example, what I want is "show in the file manager", if a file manager has this type of service, some third party apps will open folders not select them, I find only "finder" and "path finder" has such service. I use laun...
