Found the root cause of this locales debacle, now NC should behave as v1.3.

It's possible to do that by enabling logging (Alt+Help->Debug->Show Logs.....

I'd say let's wait for Apple to fix their release, it currently seems that installing any software for rendering PDF files breaks their icons, it's not only about Acrobat.
