Re: Tilde character doesn't work in terminal

Hi Sasha,

That's a problem in Files' terminal input subsystem.
It currently does not process any of such key-changing logic.
Will fix it.

Re: Favorites lists hotkeys

maxim, Well, answering if that numbers are taken from Finder - yes they are, simply from fovaurites' ordering. (you can rearrange them in Finder and their hotkeys will change in Files accordingly) In fact that "hotkeys" are hardcoded and include "1", "2", ..., "9", "0", "-", "=". The main problem in...

Re: "Brief" view mode

Hi maxim and welcome to the forum!

I'm not quite sure how that dynamic column width calculation should work.
Can you describe that logic?

Some another offtopic

Dear friends! I wanted to bring some excuses on a small project progress last months and for replying with significant delays. The reason was my being preparing for PhD dissertation defence (and I successfully did it two days ago). Now with some deep breath I finally can back on track. Best Regards,...

Re: Batch rename - unclear situation

Hi darek!

Well I thought that greyed "Ok" button might signal that something is not right :)
Maybe dialog should change text in that button too, like "Collision" - what do you think?

Re: View mode setting is lost?

Hi don! Can you please check the option in System Preferences mentioned here( http://filesmanager.info/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=68 ), the damn "Close windows when quitting an app"? Also, currently any newly created window and/or tab will initially have Medium view mode by default. Before the last p...

Re: Save tabs on exit. Restore on start [DONE]

Hi don,

Nope, there's no such system-wide option, that's a hypothetical option inside Files specifically.
I'll write it soon and we'll see if such scheme is useful or not.
Next preview will show :)

Re: Save tabs on exit. Restore on start [DONE]

Ok, I think the following scheme can work: * when allocating a new window: * if "restore last window state" option is on: * load saved tabs and their paths (if any) * otherwise: * place one tab per panel with predefined paths (editable in preferences and/or in config) * by default these paths are "~...

Re: build 1457 - state persistence

Hi don!

Current implementation should restore both of panels, not sure why left panel state path was not restored in your case.
Can you share any details?

As for option to ignore previously saved state - let's discuss it here http://filesmanager.info/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&p=343.
