Re: Some folders are not visible?

Good day. it looks like some folders are not displayed by Files. Like opt. Is there a configuration setting (file?) where I could update the list of ignored folders? Hi don! On my system /opt is invisible directory - maybe that's your case too? There's no "invisible" list in Files anyway, only an o...

Re: build 1341 - new directory listings, Pt. II

Guys, Ok, as said, I've put a whitelist (currently consist of zip, tar, pax, cpio, xar, lha, ar, cab, mtree, iso, bz2, gz, bzip2, gzip, 7z, rar) by which Files will decide if it should try to open item as an archive by Enter key. So, no more Word/Excel internals by default :) By Cmd+Down it will try...

Re: Cmd-+ should use current file extension

Hi guys!

Have just added two new hotkeys:
- alt+cmd+= - selects all items with current item's extension
- alt+cmd+- - deselects all items with current item's extension

Re: Command line

darek, that sounds interesting.
However, it seems like the opposite situation - some keys are stolen from terminal itself.
For example, up/down arrows allows navigating thru history in Bash - it's not possible in such setup.

Re: Overlapped terminal : panel toggle

Would also appreciate a keyboard shortcut to roll up the panels. I.e. what I do with multiple CTRL+ALT+UP - to reduce the size of the panels so they are not visible. Yet it should preserve the original position somewhere (possibly by not to modifying the persisted setting?) and if pressed when the ...

Re: Move & Replace : Input Mode activation

Don,

Which version caused that problem with moving focus into text field?
If it was one of the last previews - that bug is already fixed.

* the input in them gets focus properly, but aText doesn't work properly: http://filesmanager.info/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=51&p=227#p227 Darek, I've played with that aText tool and really have no idea why it behaves so in Copy sheet. Even more, on my 10.11 it does work there, but only after any k...

Re: Command line

Indeed it was. It was hidden by he size of the window - I did not even know it was there. That's fantastic! Thank you. May I bug you with yet another question? - Is it possible to preserve the size of the panels so the command line is always visible? Every time I restart they are back to bottom Hel...

Re: build 1341 - new directory listings, Pt. II

As for real achives vs MSOffice/LibreOffice files. Total Commander has a good approach to this, I think: * ENTER always does the most sensible thing, the behavior you'd probably want most often, that is: view the archive if it's a zip, launch the app if it's a document (you can make a list of exten...

Re: build 1362 - new directory listings, Pt. III

Oh, great, it turns out that 10.10 and 10.11 have some differences in behaviour of UI subsystem. (I personally use El Capitan already)
Welcome to compatibility hell :)

Here's a fixed build:
