eject volume not available [CLOSED]

Post by buzy » Wed Jan 20, 2021 2:49 pm

Before disconnecting a wd external drive I wanted to eject the volume first but the eject volume command in the menubar is greyed out.

I cannot reproduce the issue on my side. Any details / screenshots?

The drive is connected through the thunderbolt port (the first version, I think the connector type is mini displayport). Also the drive appears in the "/Volumes/" dir but not the "/System/Volumes/" one.

Could you try this command while being inside the volume?

Yeah that works. Didn't think to try that because I usually click the drive icon to eject. Thanks!
