Instead of embedded odd preview feature, use default OS X preview window.

kakysha,
I'm trying to keep Files oriented to single-window philosophy and a global floating preview window is much against it.

Kind of strange philosophy. Steve always wanted this preview feature to be a "preview" feature, to free the user from opening a file to get overview of it's content. Thats why OS X preview feature has so many benefits:
1) supports almost any type of file
2) filetype aware - media files can be played, text files can ge copied, etc.
3) for folder it calculates size

I dont think that reimplementing this would be a usefull work only for the sake of one window philosophy.

kakysha,
Files uses a native OS X QuickLook preview, but in a view-based form - that's the only difference.
There's no reimplementing there.

Oh, I see.. Then, it will be not so bad to show folders size alsoas quick look does.
