Development stopped?

Post by igors » Thu Oct 04, 2018 1:12 pm

Is the development stopped?

for example I see no upgrades in months. There is no update for e.g. dark mode on mojave. Etc.

Whats going on?

Nope, it's not, I want to release a new version this month.
Mojave's dark mode and other bells and whistles, however, have the least possible priority in my schedule.

Have I missed something?

I just use the inbuilt dark theme in NC and it blends perfectly with Mojave dark mode currently :D
I actually explored the dark theme due to some weird dark line appearing in the standard theme when switching to Mojave.
However the dark theme for me is working perfectly :geek:

I use BetterTouchTool, and it's actually amazing what you can do with the TouchBar. Apple themselves are lazy, so when people just see the default TouchBar implementation, I can understand that they believe it's just a useless gimmick. But for me it's real added value. I can put a lot of functionality into the TouchBar, never have to take my hands off the keyboard, whereas in the past I often had to use the mouse/trackpad. I'll definitely work on a dedicated Nimble Commander touch bar menu soon. Sure, you can learn all the keyboard shortcuts, but you won't have to anymore. (At least not all of them.)

At any rate, Nimble Commander doesn't need TouchBar support. Just buy a BetterTouchTool license, and you won't have any wishes left. :)
