Re: Command/GoTo palette
Couldn't agree more with this feature request! I've tried fman: the goto palette is in my opinion a killer-feature, extremely valuable, guess I wouldn't need favorites anymore, honestly one of the best improvements I've seen in filemanagers since TC :) Other than that, fman is way too basic, no tabs...

On demand Admin mode
I would love if NC would support the following flow: Imagine I'm doing a file operation but lacking permissions. Instead of NC asking me to retry or abort, I'd love if NC would directly propose to switch to admin mode (e.g. by enter or space key) because this is what I normally want to do. (Normally...

Wow, the hotkey dialog is now really cool!! Also the new background highlight of selected items looks meaningful to me.

Re: A few thoughts on performance
I'll open the NC's source code later this year and will gladly accept any specific suggestions about adding support for archives modification ;) Oh, that's interesting news. Does that mean you see no commercial sense in the filemanager or maybe you won't have enough time for further development or ...

Re: A few thoughts on performance
Hi JayB,
recall the discussion some months ago: http://magnumbytes.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=205
I think Mike is right, it's not trivial, still I see it's working very well in marta

Re: A few thoughts on performance
Also recently tried fman, too basic yet (even tabs are missing), BUT: the Cmd+P action is genius. After a short while it captured my favorite folders and I did not even miss a favorites menu as Cmd+P looked superiour. That would be a great feature for NC as well :) If performance during runtime, e.g...

Re: build 2371 - overhaul of file operations
Like that development direction!
Haven't noticed problems so far (ok, only 1 day of usage so far)
Move to trash feels somehow snappier (but could be my imagination only )

Re: build 2266 - UI improvements
Ahh, did not know about a dedicated Duplicate command, always used Shift+F5
Not related to this build, but what I sometimes bothered with was the inability to resize the Preferences dialog (e.g. to have a better skimming through the shortcuts list). Would that be a bigger thing or a trivial one?
