Re: Navigation Key Mapping
Greetings, I am also interested in adding custom keys to control the cursor from keyboard. I have in mind to use 'hjkl' keys, similarly to Vim movement keys. Hmm. It should be possible, I guess, when custom navigation bindings are in the config file. Then one would need to disable the "Route keyboa...

Re: Offtopic - HNY 2016
Happy new year!
I am a bit late to the party, but you understand.
Cheers!
p.s. I miss Siberia. Myself I am from Novosibirsk - a place quite close to Barnaul.

Re: Admin mode
Welcome! Not an expert in anyway, so we probably need to wait for the author to jump in. I have tried to enable the admin mode through menu -> Files->Enable Admin Mode. Got a password prompt, entered the password. All good. When I do not enter the password - I get the same message as you do. Not sur...

Re: build 1437 - moving to new config system
Re passwords - from my perspective the Keychain is the best place to keep them.
What options are available through the file config only?
We desperately need a wiki!

Re: build 1437 - moving to new config system
Ok. I like the idea.
Checked the file and moved them into backup folder - migrating this stuff will be quite easy.
All good!

Re: build 1437 - moving to new config system
Ok, the only setting that went off is the panels and fonts.
Recovered.
Other settings seem to have been migrated.

Re: build 1437 - moving to new config system
Few observations.
Could be a good idea to have a way how to migrate the old settings into the new format - an utility of sorts? Or, being new to Mac, I am missing something obvious here.
Next - connection settings. Do I understand correctly that passwords are stored in Keychain?
Just checking.

Re: Navigation Key Mapping [DONE]
BTW, "Doctors recommend" mechanical keyboards.
I use MX Cherry Browns with Red o-rings. Another one is a Topre TypeHeaven.
Also want to try WASD Code with MX Whites.

Re: Navigation Key Mapping
Good day. Yes. Pretty much. As you can see there are a few overrides just for FILES. Hard to group. Things to do are to configure the keys outside of the files: I do not like that pageup and pagedown are shifting the screen without moving the cursor. And the custom config for the extra keys in the m...

Re: Navigation Key Mapping
Thank you - that helped. Here is the first cut with Karabiner, in case anyone is interested. The idea is to use the numpad as the navigation device: <?xml version="1.0"?> <root> <appdef> <appname>FILESMANAGER</appname> <equal>info.filesmanager.Files</equal> </appdef> <item> <name>Keyboard Custom Nav...
