Plain/text preview

Post by Maxx » Fri Jul 07, 2023 6:38 am

Hello!

I use built-in preview feature via space key. It formats documents. Because I'm developer I face files with different extensions. Preview doesn't show content for such files but icon.

Is it possible to add checkbox in settings to preview files as text content (like in Total Commander's F3)?
Otherwise I have to open in text editor and see what is inside.

Hi!
But you can configure it system-wide, it's work like on this screenshot:

Alternatively there's of course the built-in viewer in NC.

Hello mike,

May be I'm wrong but on Mac not extensions are possible to preview. For example, VS Code projects are *.code-workspace and they contain JSON:

But I can't see them.

But you can configure it system-wide,
Could you please point out what settings I should look for?

Wow! How I can activate it? Because when I press SPACE I've see preview with system previewer.

Alt+F3. It's not yet supported in a pane though.
