Creating new folder option copies highlighted DIR name [DONE]
Creating new folder option copies highlighted DIR name [DONE]
Would it be possible to implement a feature....possibly as a option check box in preferences (incase not everyone likes the feature)
In TC im used to it filling in the folder name im currently on when hitting F7 to create a new folder.
Where this comes in handy (this is just one example) is when you working with Series and many Season folders......
so you have a Series, with multiple Season and a new one just came out, you highlight the last season, hit F7 , that folder name is then auto filled in at the new folder prompt and you then amend it slightly to what you want...eg. Season 01 to Season 02
this makes it very easy when creating folders which are similar.

bchuter, this sounds interesting.
Could you provide more examples of names composition?
I didn't understand the scheme.

Re: Creating new folder option copies highlighted DIR name
Yup (I probably did not title this correctly)
So as seen below, my cursor is on "Folder 2"
If i hit F7 to create a folder at this point, What i get is seen in the second image.
It auto inserts the folder name or file name that your cursor is currently on (this works for folders and files)
If your cursor is not on a file or folder then the box is blank. Also the name is fully highlighted in the new folder box already so if you chose not to use that name you can simply start typing to remove it, or you can simply edit it to something similar, like "Folder 3"

However, since this is a suggestion coming from TC, I have to add that this feature applies to "Create file" (Shift-F4? if I recall correctly) and maybe other actions too...
