Re: Temporary panels for storing folders/files links collections
One downside of temporary panels for me is that they are lost after you change the folder. Example: perform a file search and put the results to a temporary panel. If you then go into a folder in the panel, you can't return to the original panel. It's just gone, which is a bummer if it takes a long ...

Hello,
has anyone tried this build on High Sierra? If so, any complaints?
Cheers!

Open apps from unidentified developer [CLOSED]
When opening apps from an unidentified developer/not from Mac App Store for the first time, there's a warning dialog and the app is not run. open1.png In Finder, you have to Right Click -> Open that gives you an extended version of this dialog with an Open button. open2.png So far, I was not able to...

Re: Command/GoTo palette
At this moment - doesn't the built-in "Shift-Cmd+?" hotkey provide a somewhat similar functionality? Except for navigation, of course. The help-search comes close, but Command Palette is IMHO more user-friendly in practice due to substring- and fuzzy matching. E.g., if you type "sel" into "Cmd+Shif...

Re: Help needed
Sasha, thanks for your thoughtful response. If it's important for you guys to have NC included in Wikipedia, let's not take the deletion personal, try again following the guidelines, write a short, objective paragraph about the features and add citations/references from objective sources. It would ...

Re: QuickLook as floating window
Ok, just tried it myself. In Marta, it doesn't matter which/if items are selected. Pressing Space opens QuickLook floating window for the item under cursor. You can then press Left or Right (why not Up/Down?) to navigate through all items (but the cursor doesn't move in panel, irritating). Pressing ...

Re: Info about file/folder under cursor and in floating Inspector window
Thanks @cka3o4h1k, I didn't know about the multiple-item-Inspector in Finder before. I frequently use the one-item "Get Info" in Finder. However, for multiple items, there's IMHO not really a lot of additional information besides the combined file size - and that is already displayed in NC. Can you ...

Re: QuickLook as floating window
Idea: automatic add in Quick Look window all files/folder from panel. See how this function done in Marta file manager. You can already get this behavior in NC by following the instructions above (set up "qlmanage -p %" as external tool, add shortcut). The problem with this (and with the implementa...

Re: Floating window for Get Info
Inspector show info about file/folder under cursor when you browsing. It can be implemented with placing Info in secondary panel, but also good to use native Finder floating window. Maybe I misunderstand you, but this is exactly what I was talking about. After you set up the shortcut, you can brows...

Re: Floating window for Get Info
You can do just that by using Finder's Show Info service and assign a shortcut in macOS preferences. See
