"Forward" navigation support for temporary panel [DONE]
"Forward" navigation support for temporary panel [DONE]
Currently, temporary panels only support "Go > Back" navigation. To me, it would be very useful to have a "Go > Forward" option (currently greyed out) to access the temporary panel again without having to create it again by a search for example.
Re: "Forward" navigation support for temporary panel
Hi sasha,
Saving temporary panels might require significant resources (specially for file numbers like xxx,000), but it definitely can be done.
I plan to work on temporary panels in 1.1.2, with the following in mind:
- add an ability to give panel a name, by default enumerate them automatically
- add an ability to manually remove elements from it and to to add some elements from other panels
- possibly saving them when app closes
Mike.

Mike, that sounds very interesting. Looking forward to it!
Re: "Forward" navigation support for temporary panel
Well, just mere year and a half has passed, and I've added a history support for temporary panels. (sarcasm mode)
Not sure about modification of temporary panels though, especially what UX should it be.

xyplorer has a paper folder feature, it is the best virtual folders design. The detail is: https://www.xyplorer.com/release_14.30.php
search panels are temporary panel, current design is good, I only hope there is a ".." folder to back to the real. There is not much need to design a "temporary panel" system.
A file list based vfs like paper folder maybe a better choice. Paper folder like a collector not a temporary panel, it will be more useful.
