Hi all,
As you might have noticed, not much news appeared recently on this website.
Since everything is now over, I guess I can shed some light.
For the last 9 months, we were fighting my wife's cancer.
On 14th March she passed away at the age of 35.
This situation leaves me as a single parent to a 4yo girl, plus living abroad.
That's not the exact conditions that allow investing much time into a hobby-like project.
However, I still do have a huge amount of interest in advancing and further developing Nimble Commander.
It's a matter of restructuring my own life to adapt and to adjust to the new circumstances.
Or, to rephrase it more bookish, to rebuild the ruins.
Thank you for patience,
Michael
PS
It's not a call for pity or condolences, just an explanation.

Re: ** Status Update **
Mike, I have no words. Wish you strength to figure it all out and rebuild your life.
Hug your baby girl and take good care of yourself now.
NC will wait.

I'm trully sorry for your loss, Mike.
Take your time and live your life with your little girl!

Nimble is great Mike even on Big Sur, just take care of your baby girl (I have two) and I cannot imagine how this is for your little one right now.
I hope you can be for her whatever she needs you to be at these moments!
I'm trully sorry for your loss, can't imagine what it will cost to anyone such a thing.

Hi Mike,
I usually don't post, but in occasions like these I make an exception.
I have seen in one of your previous posts that you've said that you had too much going on, and thanks for shedding light on this - nothing to be pitiful. I just wanted to give you my condolences, and wish you all the strength to carry on. I am sure having a daughter will make you fulfiled and fill you with joy, because I do have one.
As always thanks for the great work, but as others said: NC can wait (we still use it as is and it is great).
